Liton ruled out of the tri-nation series itself

Liton Das could not play in the first match of the tri-nation series against Zimbabwe due to injury. This time it has been learnt that the Bangladesh team will not get him in the entire series. This wicketkeeper-batter has been ruled out of the series due to the problem of the right hip joint.

Physio of the Bangladesh team Bayezidul Islam Khan has confirmed the matter of Liton’s injury in a video message.

Bayezidul said, “After Liton informed about the pain we conducted an MRI yesterday. It has been known in the MRI report that there is some problem in his right hip joint. Even then Liton tried in the fitness test today, let’s see if it is possible or not. But he could not fulfil our expected fitness standard. Therefore he will not be available in this series.”

Liton’s journey as the full-term ODI captain was supposed to start with the match against Zimbabwe. His absence is a big blow for Bangladesh.

Bangladesh will face Afghanistan in their next match of the tri-nation series in Sharjah on next October 21. The final of the series will be on October 23.
