Litton Kumar Das was dropped from the ICC Champions Trophy team due to his poor form, but he isn't staying inactive. Instead, he is focusing on improving his batting.

A training camp for the Bangladesh Tigers began on Sunday (February 16) at Mirpur, featuring players close to the national team. Litton is joined by Afif Hossain, Mahidul Islam Ankon, and Shamim Hossain in this camp, which is being led by coach Sohel Islam. During the camp, Litton is concentrating on enhancing his batting as he strives to reclaim his spot in the team.

After being dropped from the national team, Litton scored a brilliant century for Dhaka Capitals in the BPL. Now, he has a chance to prove himself in the Dhaka Premier League. Coach Sohel said, "Litton and the other players will continue their training until March 3 to prepare for international matches."

Explaining Litton's exclusion from the team, chief selector of the national cricket team, Gazi Ashraf Hossain Lipu, said, "Litton is not performing well with the new ball in ODIs, so he is working on various techniques in his training." On the first day of the camp in Mirpur, coach Sohel told the media, "Before starting today's practice, we spoke to Litton about these issues. We discussed his problems and how to make his batting easier. He has struggled a bit recently, but he was performing well earlier. Therefore, we felt the need for some slight changes. There might be multiple reasons for his struggles, and we are trying to identify and address them."

He further said, "In international cricket, performance won't always be steady. There will be highs and lows, and that's the reality. It's crucial to be mentally ready to handle the tough phases. The key is to understand the reasons behind his struggles and work on those areas, so we can see progress in the next match."

"It's not only Litton; many players are dealing with various issues. All of them are eager to improve during the camp. We've talked to the players about which aspects of their batting or skills they want to focus on. Fitness is another crucial factor. With the Premier League coming up, many players are determined to perform well," Sohel added.
