Lucky Akhand’s unreleased song hits YouTube

Seven years after the death of legendary musician Lucky Akhand, a new song 'Bhaber Nodi' is being released in his own tune.

The song is sung by Bappa Majumdar, with Sayeeda Shampa as his co-singer. The music is arranged by Bappa Majumdar. The song's lyricist is Golam Morshed.

The song has been released on the 'Gan Janala' YouTube channel on Thursday (December 5).

Commenting on the song, Bappa Majumder said, "Lucky Akhand's tunes always touch my heart. I feel very happy to be able to sing such a song in his tune. I thank lyricist Morshed Bhai for this. Shampa sang beautifully with me. I hope the audience will like the song."

Lyricist Golam Morshed said, "There was a plan to compose a new song with Bappa. While preparing it, I told him that there is a song composed by Lucky Bhai titled 'Bhaber Nadi'. Hearing the lyrics, Bappa said, ‘Wow, that's a beautiful song! Can I listen to it now?' Bappa listened to the song and said he liked it very much. Then Bappa composed the music for the song. My three albums, Lucky Akhand-Samina's 'Anand Chokh', Fahmida-Bappa's 'Ek Mutho Gaan-1' and Fahmida-Nipo's 'Yusuf Julekha', have been on people's lips for the past 20 years. I feel that this song will also maintain that continuity."
