Maksuda Akhter walks Paris Fashion Week runway

Bangladeshi-origin Irish model Maksuda Akhter made a notable appearance at Paris Fashion Week, walking the runway for two designers in a show produced by 1st Place Models.

Known for her commanding runway presence and multidisciplinary background, Akhter continues to expand her international fashion portfolio while representing a blend of elegance, discipline and global perspective.

During the show, Akhter walked for Austrian designer Anna Egger‑Piskernik, founder of the label Unt!tled. wearable art. The brand is recognised for transforming abstract artworks into flowing, wearable designs that merge contemporary fashion with visual art. Each piece functions as a moving canvas, turning original artwork into expressive fabrics that celebrate creativity, colour and individuality.

Akhter also walked for designer Julia Lara König, whose work focuses on highlighting women’s strength, individuality and beauty. With a background in women’s tailoring and stage costume design, König’s creations combine detailed craftsmanship with a strong emphasis on fit and personal expression.

The runway presentation was produced by the boutique international agency 1st Place Models under the direction of Dominik, bringing together talent from across the globe for a coordinated showcase during Paris Fashion Week.

The makeup team for the show was by Katarina Klima Academy. Hair styling was done by Theresa Salzlechner, while makeup was led by artist Meriam Ilia.

Speaking after the show, Akhter expressed gratitude to the designers, production team and fellow models.

“Fashion is a space where artistry, movement and individuality come together,” she said. “Walking for designers who celebrate creativity and strong women was truly inspiring.”

Originally from Bangladesh and now based in Ireland, Maksuda Akhter continues to strengthen her presence in the international fashion industry, bringing a distinctive voice shaped by creativity, resilience and cross-cultural experience.
