The BJP is leading by a large margin in the initial results of the West Bengal assembly elections. The party is leading in 193 of the total 294 seats. On the other hand, the ruling Trinamool Congress is leading in 94 seats.

Even in such a situation, West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool leader Mamata Banerjee has taken a confident stance. She has urged the party workers to maintain their morale.

In a video message on social media X, Mamata Banerjee alleged that irregularities are being committed in the vote counting and that there is a slow pace in publishing the results on Monday afternoon. She claims that in many places, after two to three rounds of counting, the counting of votes has been stopped in about a hundred places.

She further alleged that pressure is being created on the Trinamool by using central forces and the Election Commission is behaving in a biased manner.

Mamata Banerjee told the party leaders and workers that they cannot leave the counting centers under any circumstances and they have to wait till the end.

She said, "There is nothing to be upset about. You will win after sunset. Wait and see."

Finally, she said, "None of you will be afraid. We will fight like tiger cubs."
