Mamata Banerjee suffers injury on forehead, admitted to hospital

West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee was admitted to SSKM hospital around 7.30 pm on Thursday with an injury on her forehead. The photograph of the CM that was released on the X handle of All India Trinamool Congress - showed blood oozing out from her forehead.

According to the party source, Mamata was walking in the residence premises at Kalighat  on Thursday. At that time she somehow fell. It injured her forehead. Blood started gushing out. After first aid, it was decided to shift her to SSKM Hospital. The doctors said that the forehead should be stitched.

Hospital sources said she had a deep cut injury on her forehead. A medical board is being formed for this. She will undergo a CT scan. He is currently under the observation of doctors.

BJP state president Sukanata Majumdar posted on X for the speedy recovery of the CM. "Our prayers are with her for a quick return to good health."
