Indian actress Manasi Parekh has narrowly escaped the devastation of a sudden flash flood on the Nepal-Tibet border. She is currently in China to take part in the ‘Kailash-Manas Sarovar’ journey with Sadhguru. The flash flood struck the Kerung port area of Tibet on Thursday (August 27). The actress was scheduled to go there that morning.

After the disaster Manasi posted several pictures and videos of the waterlogged areas and debris of Kerung port on social media. There she informed that she is currently safe. The actress also shared a video recorded only five days ago. In that video she expressed her surprise and concern after seeing the place where she had been warmly welcomed sink under water following the sudden flood.

Manasi wrote that this incident again reminded how uncertain life is. The place where there was human movement just a few days ago has turned into a scene of terrible disaster within moments. Although she informed about her own safety, she expressed deep sorrow for the affected people.

The actress further informed that arrangements are being made for her return to the country under the initiative of the Isha Foundation. At the same time the organisation is providing assistance in rescuing people trapped in the disaster-hit areas. She has called on devotees and followers to pray for the improvement of the situation and the safety of the affected people.

News of extensive damage has been received from this sudden flash flood in the areas bordering Nepal and Tibet. Several areas of Rasuwa in Nepal and Kerung in Tibet went under water. Road communication has also been disrupted due to the flooding and many people have been stranded in various places.

In this situation the news of Manasi Parekh remaining safe has brought relief to her fans. Highlighting the severity of the disaster on social media she has simultaneously informed about her own safety and called for ensuring quick assistance and security for the affected people.
