Manchester City sign Morocco's Bouaddi for record €100m

English club Manchester City are spending a huge sum to bring in Moroccan rising midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi. City are signing the 18-year-old from French club Lille for 100 million euros, which amounts to approximately Tk 1,431 crore in Bangladeshi currency.

Transfer market specialist journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed Bouaddi's move to Manchester City on social media platform X. He said Bouaddi has completed his medical. Manchester City have signed him from Lille for a transfer fee of 95 million euros plus an additional 5 million euros in add-ons .

Romano also said all the necessary formalities between the two clubs regarding Bouaddi's transfer have been completed and contracts have been signed.

A transfer of such magnitude at just 18 years of age is a major recognition of Bouaddi's potential. The young midfielder came into the international spotlight with an impressive performance for Morocco at the North America World Cup.
