Mel C to tie the knot this week after meeting fiancé on dating app

After years of insisting she would never marry, former Spice Girls member Mel C is finally set to begin a new chapter in her life. The 52-year-old British singer is set to marry Australian model Chris Dingwall this week.

According to The Mirror, the wedding is being planned as a private ceremony with family and close friends. Other Spice Girls members—Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner—have been invited. A close source said the former bandmates are thrilled about Mel C's wedding.

Mel C had long said she would never marry. However, in January this year, she hinted at a change of heart regarding her partner Chris Dingwall.

At the time, she said, "I never thought marriage would be part of my life. But I'm very happy with Chris. Maybe marriage could be part of my life too."

In 2024, Mel C publicly confirmed her relationship with Chris Dingwall. They met through the popular celebrity dating app Raya.

Chris Dingwall is an Australian model, actor, screenwriter and film producer. He has worked with various international modelling agencies and featured in advertising campaigns for multiple fashion brands.

Mel C rose to fame as a member of the British pop girl band Spice Girls, which achieved worldwide popularity in the late 1990s. She was known in the band as 'Sporty Spice'.
