Methila crowned Miss Universe Bangladesh 2025

Model and actress Tangia Zaman Methila has been crowned Miss Universe Bangladesh 2025 at a glamorous event held on Thursday night at Aloki Green House in Tejgaon, Dhaka.

Methila will now represent Bangladesh at the prestigious 74th Miss Universe International competition scheduled to take place in Thailand this November.

Mustafa Rafiqul Islam Duke, Managing Director of Flora Telecom Limited and National Director of Miss Universe Bangladesh, remarked during the event, “Miss Universe is more than a beauty pageant; it is a global platform for intelligence, confidence, and purpose. We are proud to present Bangladesh on this international stage.”

Methila previously won the national title in 2020 but was unable to participate internationally due to COVID-19 restrictions. This year, she secured the crown for the second time, marking a significant achievement in her career.

In an emotional acceptance speech, Methila dedicated her victory to her mother, saying, “Whatever I am today is because of my mother. She has always been my strength and inspiration. This achievement belongs to both of us.”

Looking ahead to the international pageant, Methila expressed her commitment to proudly represent Bangladesh, stating, “I will do my best to uphold the honor, courage, and reputation of my country. I humbly ask for your prayers.”

Previous winners include Shirin Shila in 2019 and Anika Alam in 2024.
