Mexico’s Fatima Bosch crowned Miss Universe 2025
Mexico’s 25-year-old humanitarian Fatima Bosch was crowned Miss Universe 2025 on Friday (November 21) overcoming controversy, criticism, and contestant walkouts during the competition.
She received the crown from last year’s winner, Denmark’s Victoria Kjaer Theilvig, at the grand finale in Thailand.
Runner-up was host country Thailand’s Pravinara Singh, while Venezuela’s Stephanie Abasali, the Philippines’ Atisa Manalo, and Ivory Coast’s Olivia Yasse completed the top five.
The pageant saw 120 contestants, including Palestine’s debut representative Nadine Ayub. Events over three weeks included the National Costume Showcase and gown rounds. Minor incidents were reported, but the finale concluded smoothly.
During the final Q&A, Fatima said, “Believe in your uniqueness. Your dreams have value. Don’t let anyone question it.” Her calm, confident performance has earned widespread praise on social media, with many calling her victory a symbol of resilience and courage.
