Inter Miami clinched MLS Supporters' Shield with a thrilling 3-2 win against the Columbus Crew at Lower.com Field in Ohio.

It is Messi’s 46th major trophy won for club or country, extending his record for the most by any men’s football player in history.

Messi remained quiet until the 45th minute, where he capitalized on a defensive deflection to put Miami ahead. Minutes later, he doubled the lead with a precise free-kick that sailed past Columbus keeper Patrick Schulte.

Columbus fought back quickly in the second half, with Diego Rossi curling in a goal to reduce the deficit. However, a defensive mishap allowed Luis Suarez to head Miami’s third goal into an unguarded net.

The Crew found their second through a Cucho Hernandez penalty after Noah Allen’s handball. However, their momentum waned when Rudy Camacho received a red card for a studs-up challenge.

Columbus had a final opportunity to level the match when Ian Fray’s handball gave them another penalty. Hernandez’s shot, however, was saved by Miami goalkeeper Drake Callender, securing Miami’s win and their first-ever Supporters' Shield.
