Mirza Fakhrul casts vote in his constituency
BNP Secretary General and Thakurgaon-1 constituency candidate Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has cast his vote in the 13th National Parliamentary Election and referendum in his own constituency. He voted at 7:30 am on Thursday, February 12, at the Thakurgaon Government Girls' High School centre.
After casting his vote, he said, "The election being held after a long struggle and sacrifice will be fair, free, impartial and peaceful with the participation of all. This election will create a new chapter in Bangladesh."
According to sources, the centre, which covers the Tantipara, Fakirpara and Kalibari market and temple adjacent areas of Thakurgaon town, has a total of 3,368 voters. Among them, 1,682 are in Fakirpara, 1,512 in Kalibari market and temple adjacent areas, and 174 in Tantipara.
A total of 10 booths have been arranged at this centre for male and female voters.
