High speed internet service on cell phones has been suspended at several areas, including venue of BNP's grand rally in the capital's Naya Paltan area. According to sources, the 4G internet service has been brought down to 2G, so the internet cannot be used. However, no officials were ready to make any comment. Contacted, many users in the capital’s Mirpur, Mohammadpur, New Market, Azimpur, Kakrail, Paltan and Motijheel areas complained that they are not getting 4G internet data on their handsets.

নয়াপল্টনে বিএনপির মহাসমাবেশস্থলসহ রাজধানীর বিভিন্ন এলাকায় মোবাইল ইন্টারনেট সেবা বন্ধ রাখা হয়েছে। সূত্রের খবর, ফোর-জি ইন্টারনেট পরিষেবা দুই-জিবিতে নামিয়ে আনা হয়েছে। তাই ইন্টারনেট ব্যবহার করা যাবে না। তবে এ নিয়ে কোনো কর্মকর্তাই কোনো মন্তব্য করতে রাজি হননি। রাজধানীর মিরপুর, মোহাম্মদপুর, নিউমার্কেট, আজিমপুর, কাকরাইল, পল্টন ও মতিঝিল এলাকার অনেক ব্যবহারকারী অভিযোগ করে জানিয়েছেন, তারা তাদের হ্যান্ডসেটে ফোর-জি ইন্টারনেট ডfটা পাচ্ছেন না।
