Model-actress Ridhika Ridhi found dead in Bashundhara flat

Police have recovered the body of actress and model Ridhika Ridhi from a residence in the capital's Bashundhara Residential Area. She was found unconscious in a flat early on Saturday and taken to Kurmitola General Hospital, where doctors declared her dead.

Bhatara Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mazharul Islam confirmed the matter. He said police recovered Ridhi from a flat in Bashundhara Residential Area around 6am on Saturday and rushed her to hospital, but she could not be saved.

Police suspect Ridhi may have died by suicide, though the exact cause of death has not yet been confirmed. An investigation is underway, with police also gathering information about what happened before her death.

According to information provided by the family, Ridhi was in a relationship with a man. The family told police that she had an argument with him over a video call in the early hours before her death. It has been alleged that Ridhi died by suicide while still on the video call. Legal action is being pursued based on the family's complaint.

Police said they are speaking with family members to learn more details. The relationship, the cause of the dispute and the events leading up to her death are being investigated. Necessary legal procedures are also being followed to determine the exact cause of death.

Ridhika Ridhi gained recognition in showbiz through modelling and later ventured into acting. She appeared in several TV dramas, including 'Ekhene Manush Bikri Hoy', 'Bohurupi', 'Double Honeymoon' and 'Sundori'. She was striving to establish herself in both modelling and acting.
