At least 110 Palestinians lost their lives on Saturday in a series of Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip. Among the victims, 34 were waiting in line for food aid outside a center operated by the US-supported Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF). The deadly strike occurred in the Al-Shakoush area of southern Rafah.

According to Al Jazeera, the attack on the humanitarian aid center has sparked worldwide condemnation. The United Nations and various human rights organizations have called it a “machine of death” and a “death trap.”

Gaza health workers said many of the victims were shot in the head and legs. Khalil al-Dakran, a spokesperson for Al-Aqsa Hospital, said they are struggling to treat the injured due to a severe shortage of medical supplies.

On the same day, a bombing on Jaffa Street in the Tuffah area of Gaza killed 4 people and injured 10. In Jabalia, attacks on two residential buildings killed 15 more, while 7 were killed in the Shati refugee camp. In Beit Hanoun, northern Gaza, Israel dropped nearly 50 bombs at once.

The Israeli military claimed it carried out 250 attacks in Gaza over the past 48 hours. During this time, they continued to restrict the entry of food and humanitarian aid, despite warnings from the United Nations and other international organizations about a looming famine in Gaza.

According to Gaza’s Government Media Office, 67 children have already died due to malnutrition, and around 650,000 more are at severe risk. The statement added that many people have died in the past three days due to shortages of food and medicine. They described the current situation as “a severe humanitarian disaster.”
