Most of UAE casualties from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal

All but one of the civilians killed in Iran's missile and drone attacks in the UAE were from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal, authorities said.

Authorities have released the names of the six civilians killed. Three of them are Pakistanis, one from Bangladesh, one from Nepal and one from Palestine.

The deceased Bangladeshi has been identified as Ahmed Ali. He is a resident of Gaziteka village in Baralekha upazila of Moulvibazar district.

Five Bangladeshis have been reported dead so far in the Iran War that has spread across the Middle East. One of them died in Dubai, one in Bahrain and three in Saudi Arabia.

Gulf News reported, citing the UAE Ministry of Defense, that the country's air defense system intercepted 10 ballistic missiles and 45 drones launched by Iran on March 17.

Since the US and Israeli strikes on February 28, the Iran-Iraq war has been launched, authorities said, with 314 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles and 1,672 drones intercepted.

The injured in the attacks include citizens of the United Arab Emirates, Bangladesh, Egypt, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Pakistan, Iran, India, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Yemen, Palestine, Uganda, Eritrea, Lebanon and Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, a United Arab Emirates military helicopter crashed on March 10 amid ongoing tensions, killing two officers of the armed forces. The country's Defense Ministry said the helicopter crashed due to a mechanical failure.
