Motorola stirs foldable market with new ‘Razr 2026’
Motorola has sparked fresh excitement in the foldable smartphone market with the upcoming launch of the Razr 2026. The company has already released a teaser for the device, which may debut globally under the name Razr 70.
The teaser highlights April 29 as a key date, when Motorola is expected to gradually reveal more details about the handset. With its stylish design and foldable form factor, the device is likely to target premium smartphone users.
According to leaked reports, the Motorola Razr 2026 will be positioned as an upper mid-range foldable smartphone, focusing on modern aesthetics and balanced performance. It is expected to feature a large cover display, capable cameras and an upgraded processor.
The phone may come with a 6.9-inch AMOLED foldable inner display supporting a 120Hz refresh rate, promising smoother scrolling, gaming and video playback. A larger external cover screen is also expected, allowing users to access key features without unfolding the device.
In the camera department, the handset could include a 50MP + 50MP dual rear camera setup, designed to deliver detailed photos and improved low-light performance. For selfies and video calls, a 32MP front camera is likely to be included.
The device is also rumored to pack a 4,800mAh battery, which should provide reliable day-to-day backup despite the power demands of a foldable phone.
For memory and storage, Motorola may offer the Razr 2026 with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, suitable for multitasking and media-heavy users.
Under the hood, the smartphone is expected to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 7450X chipset, an upper mid-range processor capable of handling daily tasks, multitasking and moderate gaming efficiently.
