MP throws four eggs at Kosovo's Prime Minister in Parliament
An opposition lawmaker threw four eggs at acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti during a parliamentary session in Kosovo on Saturday, August 8, amid heated debate over the presidential election.
Prime Minister Kurti had requested additional time for discussion during the session, which angered opposition lawmaker Tajim Kadrija, who hurled four eggs one after another at him.
Other lawmakers and police present in Parliament quickly intervened to restrain Kadrija.
Political tension has been building in Kosovo for days over the snap elections. The egg-throwing incident has further highlighted the ongoing political instability in the country.
