Mukit, Nabila to host BTV Chattogram’s ‘Eid Anondo’ this year
The BTV Chattogram is set to air its special Eid magazine programme 'Eid Anondo' on Eid day at 9:25pm, continuing its annual tradition of festive entertainment.
Popular model and actor Mukit Zakaria will co-host the programme alongside Nabila Islam, marking their first on-screen pairing as presenters.
Speaking about the experience, Mukit said the presentation style of the show breaks away from the usual format. “We didn’t follow a conventional hosting pattern. It was lively and fun. Nabila was fantastic, and almost everyone present appreciated the presentation,” he said.
One of the highlights of the programme will be a rare musical collaboration between two Chattogram-based bands — Spark and Roots — who performed together after nearly four decades. Members of both bands also took part in a lively Eid adda segment during the show.
The programme features a variety of segments including a talk show, comedy, dance performances and folk music such as Bhatiyali, Bhawaiya and Baul songs. A short drama and talk show segment features performances by Siam Nasir, Mo Mo Morshed and Rubel.
The show has been directed by Ilon Safir.
Mukit, who has prior experience in hosting, noted that he previously presented Eid Anondo in 2024. He also hosted a special Eid programme titled Bhul on Ekushey Television, where guests included renowned singer Fahmida Nabi and Sweety.
Meanwhile, ahead of Eid, Mukit has completed shooting for four single-episode dramas and two seven-episode series.
The serials have been directed by Himu Akram and Maidul Rakib.
