Mushfiqur scores century in 100th Test
Experienced Bangladesh batsman Mushfiqur Rahim scored a century in the 100th Test of his career.
Mushfiqur scored a century in the first innings of the second and final Test of the two-match series against Ireland at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
Mushfiqur was unbeaten on 99 runs with 5 fours in 187 balls on the first day of the Test, which began yesterday. On the second day morning, he completed his 13th century of his Test career by taking 1 run off the eighth ball he faced. The right-handed batsman became the 11th batsman in the world to score a century in his 100th Test.
Mushfiqur made his Test debut against England at Lord's in 2005. He became the first Bangladeshi player to play his 100th Test after 20 years.
Thanks to Mushfiqur's unbeaten 99 on the first day and Mominul Haque's 63 runs, Bangladesh ended the first day at 292 for 4 in 90 overs.
