Bangladesh’s star left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman smashes the IPL auction records, joining Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for a whopping ₹9.2 crore (base price of ₹2 crore) — the highest price ever for a Bangladeshi in the league. A fierce bidding battle saw Kolkata edge out Chennai Super Kings to land the pace sensation. This will be Mustafizur’s sixth IPL franchise, after stints with Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, and Chennai Super Kings. Known for his deadly cutters and precise bowling in the death overs, Mustafizur promises to be a key weapon for KKR this season. In his IPL career spanning eight seasons, Mustafizur has played 60 matches and claimed 65 wickets.

বাংলাদেশি বাঁহাতি পেসার মোস্তাফিজুর রহমান আইপিএল নিলামে নতুন রেকর্ড গড়েছেন। ২ কোটি রুপির ভিত্তিমূল্যের এই পেসারকে কলকাতা নাইট রাইডার্স (কেকেআর) ৯ কোটি ২০ লাখ রুপিতে দলে নিয়েছে, যা কোনো বাংলাদেশি ক্রিকেটারের জন্য আইপিএল নিলামে সর্বোচ্চ মূল্য। মঙ্গলবার (১৬ ডিসেম্বর) অনুষ্ঠিত নিলামে মোস্তাফিজকে পেতে চেন্নাই সুপার কিংস ও কলকাতা নাইট রাইডার্সের মধ্যে তীব্র প্রতিযোগিতা দেখা যায়। শেষ পর্যন্ত কলকাতা সর্বোচ্চ দর হাঁকিয়ে তাকে দলে ভেড়ায়। এর মাধ্যমে আইপিএলে নিজের ষষ্ঠ ফ্র্যাঞ্চাইজির হয়ে খেলতে যাচ্ছেন মোস্তাফিজ। এর আগে তিনি সানরাইজার্স হায়দরাবাদ, মুম্বাই ইন্ডিয়ানস, রাজস্থান রয়্যালস, দিল্লি ক্যাপিটালস ও চেন্নাই সুপার কিংসের হয়ে আইপিএল মাতিয়েছেন। আইপিএল ক্যারিয়ারে আট মৌসুমে ৬০ ম্যাচে ৬৫ উইকেট শিকার করেছেন মোস্তাফিজ। ডেথ ওভারে তার কাটার ও নিয়ন্ত্রিত বোলিং সবসময়ই আইপিএলে আলাদা গুরুত্ব পেয়ে এসেছে।
