Nepal PM KP Sharma Oli resigns amid protests

Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli resigned on Tuesday following two days of widespread protests led by the Gen-Z Movement. The demonstrations put intense pressure on Oli, leading to his decision to step down.

Earlier, the Nepalese military had called on the Prime Minister to resign, adding to the political tension.

Due to security concerns arising from the unrest, all flights at Tribhuvan International Airport were canceled. Authorities apologized to passengers for the inconvenience caused.

Since early Tuesday afternoon, both domestic and international flights have been suspended, according to local media reports.
