Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared on Monday that Israel is aiming for full control of the Gaza Strip, following the escalation of military operations that began last Friday.

In a video message, Netanyahu stated that Israel intends to control all parts of Gaza, saying, "That’s what we’re going to do."

Israel's military confirmed the deployment of ground troops to strategic locations and airstrikes on more than 160 targets, including Hamas strongholds.

Health authorities in Gaza reported 136 deaths in the past 24 hours due to ongoing airstrikes and ground operations.

The region has been suffering from severe food shortages, exacerbated by Israel's suspension of humanitarian aid since March. Israel announced on Sunday that aid deliveries would resume, but only a limited amount of supplies would be allowed into Gaza.

On Monday, five UN trucks carrying humanitarian aid entered the region. However, it remains unclear whether this aid will be enough to support Gaza’s population of more than two million people.
