The corruption trial of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will resume on Sunday (April 12), according to the Jerusalem District Court.

The proceedings had been suspended due to a state of emergency linked to regional security tensions. Following approval from the Home Front Command, court activities have now resumed.

Netanyahu faces three corruption cases involving allegations of media favours in exchange for regulatory benefits and receiving luxury gifts worth over $260,000 from businessmen. However, he denies all charges.

He is the first sitting prime minister in Israel to stand trial on corruption charges.
