Netherlands lead again via Summerville goal
The second half of the match between Japan and the Netherlands is witnessing a flurry of goals. Three goals were scored within a span of just 13 minutes, allowing the Netherlands to reclaim the lead.
After a goalless first half, the Dutch took the lead in the 51st minute through a header from captain Virgil van Dijk. However, they could not hold onto that lead for long. Japan bounced back and equalized in the 57th minute with a goal from Keito Nakamura.
With the match tied at 1-1, the Netherlands struck once again. In the 64th minute, Crysencio Summerville scored to put the Dutch ahead 2-1.
Both teams have been playing aggressive football since the break. However, following Summerville's goal, the Netherlands have once again wrestled back control of the match.
