Netherlands reaches Sylhet ahead of 3-match T20 clash with Bangladesh

The Netherlands national cricket team has arrived in Bangladesh for their first-ever bilateral T20 international series in the country.

The Dutch squad landed in Dhaka on Wednesday morning (August 27) and reached Sylhet by afternoon, following a brief layover in Dhaka.

The series will begin on August 30, with the remaining matches scheduled for September 1 and 3. All games will be held at Sylhet International Stadium at 6pm.

Ahead of the tour, the Netherlands Cricket Board made three changes to the squad, bringing in Sikandar Zulfikar, Sebastian Brat, and 17-year-old Cedric de Lang. Zulfikar returns after six years, Brat after four, while De Lang makes his national debut.

Ryan Klein and Fred Klaasen are sidelined due to injury, and Shakib Zulfikar withdrew for personal reasons.

Netherlands Squad: Max O'Dowd, Bikramjit Singh, Anil Nidamanuru, Scott Edwards (captain), Noah Kroos, Shakib Zulfikar, Ryan Klein, Kyle Klein, Aryan Dutt, Paul van Meekeren, Sharij Ahmed, Ben Fletcher, Daniel Doram.

Team Management: Ryan Cook (head coach), Ryan van Niekerk (assistant coach), Heino Kuhn (assistant coach), Dean Moonsamy (S&C coach), Lorenzo Meyer (physiotherapist), Davy Bakkar (team manager), Korev Rutgers (media manager).
