New Kuri Sports football: Sylhet and Rangpur crowned champions

Sylhet region emerged champions in the boys' category, while Rangpur region won the girls' title in the inaugural edition of New Kuri Sports' football event. Both finals, held at the Bangladesh Army Stadium on Monday, produced thrilling contests.

In the boys' final, Sylhet defeated Mymensingh 1-0 to clinch the trophy. Both teams engaged in an end-to-end battle from the start, creating several chances in the first half but failing to break the deadlock. Sylhet took control of the midfield in the second half, and in the 59th minute, Arman Khan Jisan scored the match's only goal with a brilliant long-range strike, securing the title for Sylhet.

In the girls' final, Rangpur dominated Rajshahi with a comprehensive 4-0 victory. Smriti Kisko opened the scoring in the eighth minute. She doubled her tally just two minutes later, heading home from a corner. Tanvi extended the lead to 3-0 before the break, and Sumaiya added the fourth goal in the 52nd minute of the second half as Rangpur celebrated a resounding win.
