Brazil star forward Neymar is set to return to action in their final World Cup group-stage match against Scotland, head coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed.

Speaking after Brazil’s commanding 3-0 win over Haiti in Philadelphia, Ancelotti said the forward is nearing full recovery from a calf injury and is expected to rejoin full training from Monday after completing an individual rehabilitation programme.

Neymar has yet to feature in the tournament due to injury concerns, with the medical team managing his recovery cautiously throughout the group stage. However, Ancelotti’s latest update suggests the forward is on track to be available for selection against Scotland.

The coach indicated that Neymar’s return is part of a carefully managed plan aimed at ensuring his fitness ahead of the knockout rounds.

Reflecting on the Haiti victory, Ancelotti praised Brazil’s overall performance, highlighting a strong first-half display and effective control of possession. He noted a slight drop in attacking intensity after the break but was satisfied with the team’s defensive stability and game management.

Brazil’s win over Haiti was inspired by Matheus Cunha, who scored twice after being brought into the starting XI. The forward stepped in for Igor Thiago and delivered a standout performance, with Ancelotti lauding his movement, positioning inside the box, and clinical finishing.

With confidence restored after an opening draw against Morocco, Brazil now head into their final group fixture with renewed momentum—and the anticipated return of Neymar adds further optimism for supporters ahead of the knockout stage.
