Argentina's dreams of securing consecutive world titles were shattered following a 1-0 defeat to Spain in the World Cup final. Amid the heartbreak, Spanish-born Argentine midfielder Nico Paz shared an emotional message on social media, promising to give his all to bring the golden trophy back to Argentina in the future.

Despite not getting the opportunity to feature on the pitch during the final at MetLife Stadium, the midfielder expressed his unwavering commitment to representing Argentina. While most of his teammates left the stadium in silence without making comments, the Italian club Como midfielder took to Instagram to express his feelings.

Sharing a photo of the team, Paz wrote, "Today, more than ever, I am proud to represent this country, this team, and to be a part of such an incredible group of people who give everything for this jersey. I just want to say thank you."

Born in Tenerife, Spain, Paz is the son of former Argentine footballer Pablo Paz, who played in the 1998 World Cup. Nico Paz, who made appearances against Algeria and Jordan during this tournament, concluded his post with a hopeful promise to the fans: "I promise to fight with everything I have to bring this cup back to Argentina."

He also extended his sportsmanship to the victors, adding, "Congratulations to Spain and all Spaniards. Through good times or bad—I am always with Argentina."
