Bangladesh is the land of multi-religious, multi-cultural and multi-diversity. Hindu-Buddhist-Christian and other small ethnic groups with different religions and cultures have been living side by side with peace and harmony for thousands of years. In the meantime, Bangladesh has witnessed using the minority community people as political weapons. Minority communities are also suffering from insecurity in the ongoing situation after the recent student uprising. Especially people of Hindu and Buddhist religion. They are being attacked for the past few days. Several places of worship were destroyed. Many people think that this is being done to create an unstable situation. Minority communities are also holding rallies across the country calling for an end to communal attacks. Even yesterday the streets were filled with their slogans - I will not leave my land, my mother, Bangla.

According to the news published in the media on Monday (August 12), there were rallies in various places including Chittagong, Barisal, Khulna, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Sylhet cities demanding the arrest and prosecution of the attackers and the compensation of the victims. From a protest march, speakers said that every time the government changes, there are incidents of attacks and torture on minorities. This attack and torture must be stopped.

Students of the mosque-madrasa are standing guard to provide security to the Hindu community people; But it is not a permanent solution. Even if the law and order forces guard the minorities, this is not a permanent solution. The solution lies only in the bond of harmony. And that harmony will arise through lasting cultural change. That change requires philosophical understanding; But a temporary solution to any chronic problem is becoming a big problem in our country. Social progress does not come from mutual understanding.

A new mass awakening has started in the country. This renaissance should be taken forward towards building the Bangladesh of our dreams. It is not possible without harmony. If sectarian violence continues, third parties will always look for opportunities. The division between us will widen. Therefore showing respect to other's religion can free us from this disparity and antagonism.

Not all principles of the state system are guided by philosophy. Therefore, proper enforcement of law and order is necessary. Law and order collapsed after the mass uprising. In this opportunity, many have abused the power, taken various opportunities. An interim government has been formed. The law and order situation in the country is gradually normalizing. We want the government to give utmost importance to the security of the minority communities. They should not feel insecure in any way. And exemplary punishment should be given to communal attackers and instigators.
