Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei has said Tehran has no plan for a new round of talks with the United States. Quoting Al Jazeera, he said Washington has violated agreements at the time of implementation, so Iran has no interest in fresh negotiations.

Baghaei further said the United States attacked Iran during past diplomatic talks, an experience Tehran cannot forget. He also emphasised that Iran will continue its steps to protect its national interests.

It is to be noted that talks between Iran and the US over the nuclear programme were ongoing both during the US-Israel war that began on February 28 and during the 12-day conflict prior to that.

The Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson also claimed that US proposals are 'insignificant' and their demands 'unrealistic'. He added that Tehran does not believe in any kind of deadline or ultimatum.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has warned that if Iran does not accept the terms of the proposed agreement, the country's civilian infrastructure will be destroyed. In an interview with Fox News, he said the agreement proposed by the US, which includes reopening the Strait of Hormuz and ensuring Iran does not keep enriched uranium, is a 'very fair and reasonable agreement'. However, he threatened to destroy all power plants and bridges in Iran if the terms are not accepted.

Tehran has rejected US demands as 'maximum pressure'.
