Iran has not proposed any ceasefire, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said. Iran's state news agency IRIB reported that Araghchi dismissed speculation about a supposed five-point Iranian proposal as "baseless media conjecture."

He further stated that the war would continue until the aggressor is punished and full compensation is paid to Iran.

Earlier on Wednesday, April 1, Trump claimed in a statement on his social media platform Truth Social, "When the Strait of Hormuz is open, free and without danger, we will consider it. Until then, we are destroying Iran or sending it back to the Stone Age, as they say."

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told Al Jazeera that there is no trust in potential talks with the United States. While Washington claims talks are ongoing, no negotiations are currently taking place between the two countries.
