No risk of vote rigging in upcoming polls: Home Adviser
Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has said that there is no risk of vote rigging and the upcoming election will be conducted peacefully.
He made the remarks while addressing reporters after a coordination meeting at the Rangpur Divisional Commissioner’s conference room on sunday noon (February 8).
"All preparations for the polls have been completed," he said. "Law enforcement agencies, administration, and the election commission have ensured full readiness despite the short timeframe."
“The election will be free, fair, and peaceful, and there is no scope for any manipulation,” he added.
The meeting was attended by the Rangpur Divisional Commissioner, Police Commissioner, Range DIG, Deputy Commissioners, Police Superintendents, Regional and District Election Officers, Upazila Nirbahi Officers, Officers-in-Charge, and representatives from the Armed Forces, Rapid Action Battalion, Bangladesh Border Guard, and Ansar-VDP.
