North Korea has issued a strong condemnation of the recent U.S. military strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, calling the move a "blatant violation of international law and a dangerous provocation" that threatens regional and global stability, reports Al Jazeera.

In a statement delivered to Al Jazeera on Sunday (June 22), a spokesperson from North Korea’s Foreign Ministry—speaking on condition of anonymity—described the attack as a "direct violation of the UN Charter" and an assault on the sovereignty of an independent nation.

"The security and territorial integrity of Iran have been grossly trampled on," the official said. "Such reckless aggression destabilizes not only the Middle East but contributes to rising global tensions."

The North Korean government accused the U.S. and its Western allies of fueling unrest by supporting Israeli military operations, and warned that these actions are pushing the world toward broader confrontation. "By encouraging Israeli aggression, the West is creating an environment of global conflict," the spokesperson added.

North Korea called on the international community to unite against what it described as "provocative and unlawful actions" by the United States and Israel.

Tehran and Pyongyang have maintained long-standing diplomatic ties, often cooperating in the face of international sanctions and sharing mutual strategic interests. Both nations have repeatedly accused Western powers of undermining their sovereignty and targeting their domestic policies under the guise of global security concerns.

Analysts suggest that Pyongyang's statement signals more than just diplomatic solidarity—it may also reflect an emerging geopolitical realignment, with Iran and North Korea positioning themselves as central actors in a new axis of resistance against U.S. influence in the Middle East and beyond.
