Notun Kuri champion Smriti's mother missing, seeks public help

Smriti Kisku, the teenage footballer from Rangpur who was named 'Player of the Final' in the Notun Kuri Sports girls' football tournament, is searching for her mother, who has been missing for months.

According to a recent television report, Smriti had not been able to speak with her mother for nearly three months as she did not have a mobile phone. After winning the Notun Kuri title and returning to her village home with the trophy, she did not find her mother there. She later learned that her mother, Muti Mai Hemron, had come to Dhaka in search of work. However, since she does not have a mobile phone, Smriti has been unable to contact her.

Smriti Kisku, a resident of Chak Krishnapur village in Pirganj upazila of Rangpur, comes from a very humble background. After her husband Sobhan Hasda passed away, her mother took on the responsibility of the family. To make ends meet and support her daughter's dreams, she worked as a domestic help in various households.

Despite her success in football, Smriti is now worried about her mother's whereabouts. She has appealed to the people of the country for help in locating her mother and finding out how she is doing.
