Blackcaps won the third and final ODI by seven wickets against Bangladesh at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Tuesday.   The Blackcaps took the series 2-0 which is their first bilateral series win in Bangladesh since 2008.

Bangladesh Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto battled lonely to hit 76 on his captaincy debut as Bangladesh were bundled out for a below par 171 in 34.2 overs, failing to play 50 overs yet again at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

Shanto won the toss and elected to bat first as Bangladesh came up with four changes from the squad of the second game, which they lost by 86 runs. The first match was washed out due to heavy rain.

In response, New Zealand chased down the target of 172 in 34.5 overs. Shoriful Islam secured two early wickets, but it wasn't enough to halt the Blackcaps' progress.

Will Young contributed 70, while Henry Nicholls remained unbeaten with 50.

This series serves as Bangladesh's final preparation ahead of the World Cup, leaving the Tigers with the memory of a series defeat to overcome as they head into the tournament.
