Popular actress Jaya Ahsan has given an emotional message expressing her respect and love for the people of the country on the occasion of the Independence Day of the great Bangladesh.

In a post on her verified Facebook page, she recalled the memories, sacrifices and struggles of the Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971 on Thursday (March 26).

In the post, she wrote, 'On this day in 1971, the people of this country told the world that from today we are independent. The Pakistani rulers imposed a brutal genocide on our innocent people.'

She also mentioned, 'In that bloody struggle for nine months, the sacrifices, bravery and indomitable dreams of countless people brought the sun of independence.' The actress paid deep respect to the Liberation War, countless martyrs, brave freedom fighters and millions of people who dreamed of independence.
