Dhaka University has decided to introduce online classes at all levels to keep academic activities running smoothly. The information was announced on Saturday, November 29, in a notice signed by acting registrar Munshi Shams Uddin Ahmed. The notice stated that, by order, all concerned were being informed that from tomorrow, Sunday, November 30, online classes at all levels of the university would begin. Classes will continue online until further instructions. It added that, due to the risk of damage caused by the recent earthquake, a quick decision on the winter vacation would be made on the basis of recommendations from the inspection team formed with engineers to assess vulnerable halls.

ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের (ঢাবি) সকল পর্যায়ের শিক্ষা কার্যক্রম স্বাভাবিক রাখতে অনলাইন ক্লাস চালু করার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় প্রশাসন। শনিবার (২৯ নভেম্বর) ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের রেজিস্ট্রার (ভারপ্রাপ্ত) মুনসী শামস উদ্দিন আহম্মদ স্বাক্ষরিত এক বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে এ তথ্য জানানো হয়েছে। বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে বলা হয়, আদিষ্ট হয়ে এতদ্দ্বারা সংশ্লিষ্ট সকলের অবগতির জন্য জানানো যাচ্ছে যে, আগামীকাল (রোববার, ৩০ নভেম্বর) থেকে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে সকল পর্যায়ের অনলাইন ক্লাস শুরু হবে। পরবর্তী নির্দেশনা না দেয়া পর্যন্ত অনলাইন ক্লাস চলবে। উল্লেখ্য, ভূমিকম্পের কারণে ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ হলগুলো সংস্কারের লক্ষ্যে প্রকৌশলীদের সমন্বয়ে গঠিত পরিদর্শন টিমের মতামতের ভিত্তিতে শীতকালীন ছুটির বিষয়ে অতিদ্রুত সিদ্ধান্ত জানানো হবে।
