Online recharge for metro rail cards begins Tuesday

Online recharge for Rapid Pass and MRT Pass cards of the metro rail will be launched on Tuesday, November 25.

Chief Guest Sheikh Moinuddin, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser for the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges, will attend the inauguration ceremony.

Senior Information Officer of the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges, Rezaul Karim Siddiqui, said the online recharge system will be inaugurated at 10:45 am at the Agargaon metro station in the capital.

The event will be chaired by Dhaka Transport Coordination Authority (DTCA) Executive Director Neelima Akhter. Special guests will include Dr Mohammad Ziaul Haque, Secretary of the Road Transport and Highways Division, and Faruq Ahmad, Managing Director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited.
