Open-top bus, reception at Hatirjheel for SAFF U-20 champions

Bangladesh has retained the SAFF U-20 Championship title in the Maldives, once again achieving football supremacy in South Asia. The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has organised a reception to celebrate the historic success and honour the players.

The BFF said the champion team will be formally welcomed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday evening. The team will then be taken on a special open-top bus parade through key roads of the capital before heading to Hatirjheel.

Federation officials said the arrangement was made to share one of the biggest achievements in Bangladesh's football in recent times with the general public. The procession will start from the airport and end at the Hatirjheel Amphitheatre after traversing important roads of the capital.

According to the BFF, a formal reception will be held at the Hatirjheel Amphitheatre at 7:30 pm. Footballers and coaching staff will be greeted by BFF officials, sports personalities and distinguished guests.

The BFF has invited general spectators and supporters to attend the event. Preparations have been made to turn the entire reception into a festive atmosphere.

The tradition of welcoming Bangladeshi footballers who achieve international success with open-top bus parades has become popular in recent times. Similar receptions were organised for the women's football team and other age-group teams following their successes.
