More than 20,000 Palestinian students have been killed in Gaza and the West Bank since Israel launched its aggression in October 2023, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Education.

The latest statistics show that 19,910 students have been killed in Gaza and 148 in the West Bank. Over 31,000 students have been injured — 30,097 in Gaza and 1,042 in the West Bank.

The report further revealed that at least 1,037 teachers and education administrators have been killed, 4,740 injured, and more than 228 arrested by Israeli forces.

Meanwhile, 179 schools and 63 university buildings in Gaza have been completely destroyed, while 118 government schools and 100 UN-run schools have sustained partial damage. Due to the destruction, 30 schools have been removed from the ministry’s operational list.

In the West Bank, the situation remains dire — two schools in Hebron and Tubas have been completely destroyed, while eight university buildings have been partially damaged during Israeli raids.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the total death toll in Gaza has surpassed 68,200 since the start of the Israeli offensive, with around 170,300 injured.

In the West Bank, at least 1,056 people have been killed, around 10,300 injured, and more than 20,000 Palestinians have been detained — including 1,600 children.
