Pakistan airstrike in Afghanistan kills 10, including 9 children
At least nine children and one woman from the same family were killed in a Pakistani airstrike in Afghanistan’s southeastern Khost province, according to Taliban government spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid.
The attack took place around midnight in Gurbuz district at the home of local resident Waliat Khan, reports Al Jazeera.
The airstrike destroyed the house completely, killing five boys, four girls, and a woman on the spot.
Mujahid added that Pakistan also carried out airstrikes in neighbouring northeastern Kunar and eastern Paktika provinces, injuring at least four civilians.
The Taliban administration condemned the attacks as a “dangerous provocation” and urged Pakistan to immediately halt such acts of aggression.
