Pakistan announces 17-member Asia Cup squad
Ahead of the Asia Cup 2025, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a 17-member squad for the tournament.
Salman Ali Agha will lead the side. However, senior players Babar Azam and wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan have been left out of the squad.
Pace spearhead Shaheen Shah Afridi, who recently returned to the national setup during the T20I series against the West Indies, has retained his spot in the squad.
Ahead of the Asia Cup, Pakistan will take part in a tri-nation series in the United Arab Emirates, featuring hosts UAE and Afghanistan. The series will be held in Sharjah from August 29 to September 7.
The Asia Cup 2025 is scheduled to begin on September 9 and will run until September 28.
