Pakistan's army chief Field Marshal Asim Munir has arrived in Tehran with the aim of restarting talks between Iran and the United States. Iran's state media IRIB reported that a high-level delegation led by him is making this visit to deliver a special message from the United States and coordinate the second round of talks.

In Tehran, Asim Munir will meet with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. The meeting will discuss the agenda for the second round of US-Iran talks and the US proposals. Additionally, the appropriate timing for the next meeting and some unresolved issues related to the ceasefire may also be discussed.

Earlier, a 21-hour marathon meeting between the United States and Iran was held in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, but ended without any agreement. Despite the failure of those talks, the exchange of messages between the two countries has continued through Pakistan's mediation.
