Shahin Shah Afridi's side was bowled out for just 114 runs in the first ODI. This is Pakistan's lowest-ever total against Bangladesh in ODI history. Their previous lowest against Bangladesh was 161 runs during the 1999 World Cup.

Towards the end of the innings, Pakistan showed some resistance through Fahim, but a 32-run partnership was broken when he lofted Mustafiz's delivery to midwicket where Taskin Ahmed took the catch.

Apart from the opening stand, this was their only other double-digit partnership.

Fahim top-scored with 37 runs off 47 balls, hitting six fours and a six.

Young pacer Nahid Rana was the brightest spark in Bangladesh's bowling attack. He dismantled Pakistan's batting line-up by taking five wickets in his spell. Captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz claimed three wickets.

The Pakistan innings saw Sahibzada make 27, Sadakat 18, Shamil 4, Rizwan 10, Salman 5, Talat 4, Samad 0, Fahim 37, and Afridi 4.

For Bangladesh, Taskin bowled seven overs conceding 29 runs for one wicket, Mustafiz took one wicket for 18 runs in 4.4 overs, Miraz took three wickets for 29 runs in ten overs, Nahid Rana took five wickets for 29 runs in ten overs, and Rishad went wicketless conceding 24 runs in two overs.
