Pakistan bowled out for 133 despite dropping seven players

Pakistan brought about major changes to the side following the second Test, dropping seven cricketers and removing two coaches. Despite four changes in the playing eleven and three debutants, Pakistan could not turn things around against England.

Babar Azam's side were bowled out for just 133 runs by the pace attack of Josh Tongue, Jofra Archer and Ollie Robinson.

Pakistan were skittled out for 133 in the first innings on the first day of the third Test at Edgbaston on Wednesday. Tongue wrecked Pakistan's batting, taking 4 wickets for 42 runs, while Archer picked up 3 wickets for 15 runs and Robinson took 3 wickets for 25 runs.

Seven of Pakistan's first eight batters returned to the pavilion before reaching double figures. The exception was Saud Shakeel, the left-handed batter scoring the team's highest 43 runs off 47 balls. The second-highest score of 21 runs came off the bat of pacer Mohammad Abbas.

Playing with four changes, three cricketers made their debut in Pakistan's eleven. They began losing wickets from the third over itself. Robinson sent back Saim Ayub for a duck. Azan Awais then departed against Archer's pace, while Abdullah Shafique fell to Robinson.

Pakistan lost their fourth wicket at 26 runs when Shan Masood was bowled by Archer. Captain Babar Azam also could not steady the ship, with Tongue knocking over his off stump in the 15th over.

The three debutants, Ghazi Ghori, Mohammad Imran and Rezaullah, also could not stay long at the crease. Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Abbas later offered some resistance. Abbas and Ali added 26 runs for Pakistan's last wicket, helping the innings somehow reach 133 runs.
