Pakistan’s national cricket team has arrived in Dhaka to play a two-match Test series against Bangladesh as part of the ICC World Test Championship.

The team landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport early Sunday (May 3) morning, with skipper Shan Masood leading a large squad contingent.

However, star batter Babar Azam and pacer Khurram Shahzad have not yet joined the squad as they are currently involved in the Pakistan Super League final. They are expected to arrive in Bangladesh after completing their domestic commitments.

Upon arrival, the team was escorted to their hotel under tight security. The Bangladesh Cricket Board has arranged multi-layered security in coordination with police and other law enforcement agencies for the visiting side.

Before travelling to Bangladesh, Pakistan completed a four-day conditioning camp in Karachi focusing on fitness and match preparation. Several young players have been included in the squad, with some expected to make their Test debuts during the tour.

The first Test will begin on May 8 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, while the second and final Test is scheduled for May 16 in Sylhet.
