Pakistan cricketer Hussain Talat was taken to hospital after sustaining a serious injury while fielding during the second One Day International at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Friday (March 13).

He got the injuries in the sixth over when Litton Das struck a powerful shot off Mohammad Wasim Jr. toward the off side.
Talat sprinted from the cover region in an attempt to stop the boundary and managed to flick the ball back into play near the rope, though it eventually crossed for four.

However, Talat lost balance after releasing the ball and crashed into the gallery wall near the boundary line, suffering a heavy blow to his head and neck.

Match officials, physiotherapists and the medical team rushed to the scene as he remained unable to stand.

He was later carried off the field on a stretcher and taken by ambulance to Evercare Hospital Dhaka after receiving initial treatment at the stadium.

Reports said the injury was serious, with his shoulder bone reportedly dislocated.
