Pakistan flash floods death toll rises to 104

The death toll from ongoing flash floods triggered by monsoon rains across Pakistan has climbed to 104, the country's National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) confirmed on Saturday (July 13).

According to the NDMA, six additional fatalities were reported in the past 24 hours, including two in Punjab, one in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and three in Balochistan, reports Anadolu Ajansi.

Since the onset of monsoon rains on June 26, Punjab has recorded 39 deaths and 103 injuries. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 31 people have lost their lives, with 51 injured. Balochistan has reported 16 deaths to date, while Sindh has recorded 17 fatalities. Azad Jammu and Kashmir has reported one death.

Heavy monsoon rains and flash floods have damaged infrastructure, destroyed homes, and affected crops in several regions. Emergency rescue and relief operations are underway in the affected areas, officials said.
